At the start of the performance task, I have decided to choose Scenario 1, so I have a rough idea on what i will have to do. I wanted to present this blog as a fashion site where by it helps people to choose correct clothings according to their body shapes. I have done my research and visited some fashion-helping sites, and I found that they usually talk about the style lines, clothing cuts and such. Thus, I felt that it would be the most appropriate way to present my blog.

Searhing for the outfits for this PT was not much of a problem, as I have no objections with dresses, flowery clothings etc. I have always had my own sense of fashion and I am alright with wearing "girly" items. I have went to many shops that sells formal clothings, such as Zara, Vogue, New Look, River Island, Bebe, Uniqlo, BHG and such. I find it easy to search for the appropriate clothings there as they are shops that specifically sell formal wear which are at a good cost. There were many options to choose from and it was not a worry that I would not find something on the racks.

However, the main problem I faced was getting to take pictures of the dress. I did my PT at ION Orchard and the things that the shops sell there are "branded", so the shopkeepers usually kept an eye on everyone in the shop. On my first trip there, I went with my friend and in the end, we did not get anything accomplished. We wore T-shirts and jeans that day while going to ION and when we entered shops such as River Island, we got stares by the shopkeepers and that made us feel very uncomfortable. When we tried to take a picture, we got caught by the shopkeepers, and had to leave the shop. Thus, it was not the day we hoped for.

The next time I went to ION to get my PT done, I decided to wear something formal. Thus, I picked to wear a dress and heels so that I would look more mature and the shopkeepers would not keep eye-ing at me. I figured out what we did wrong on our previous attempts to take the pictures. Because we wore T-shirts and jeans to the high-class shops, we drew unwanted attention to ourselves. In order not to make the same mistakes again, I decided to wear a dress while looking for the outfits. In the end, it worked out perfectly well and no shopkeepers stared at me :D

However, there were exceptions as well. Even though most of the shopkeepers I encountered gave me the disapproving look at first, there were other shopkeepers that were very pushy. Once I have taken the dress from the rack, they all but shoved me nito the fitting room. It was quite uncomfortable for me, but I felt that it was better than being chased out by shopkeepers.

At the same time, I faced many distractions while doing my PT as well. Sometimes, I would come accross gift shops like Precious Thots, and I would be tempted to go in and buy stuff for myself. I was distracted at first, but then I decided to tell myself to focus. So in the end, I finished doing the PT on time.

The problem of whether the dresses looked good on me also came across my mind. Even though some clothings looked fantastic on the models in the shops, but when I tried them on I found that they looked horrible on me. I also had to fret if the clothings were to revealing or inappropriate.

In overall, I enjoyed doing this Performace Task. Although I detest all other PTs, I liked this one a lot. It was great fun to do.
